- What is the API Hashing Service?
The API Hashing service is a paid service that allows third party Pokemon GO developers to build awesome tools for Pokemon GO.
- Maps, Tracker, Alert-Systems,
- Alternative Clients,
- Account Statistic Exporter / Viewer,
- Account Manager
A lot of these mentioned tools were free in the past. As casual user you can't use these tools as free tools anymore except the developers are paying your Hashing Key license.
- Why is this API Hashing needed?
Niantic sends "Signals" to their servers to check if you're using a real Pokemon GO application or not. Like in every Game there is a group of people that try to understand these "protection systems" to build alternative tools as the pogodev community did in the past.
However, Niantic is playing a hard cat and mouse game with us. Most people who actually contributed to this Community lost interest or even worse - don't have the skils/money/time anymore to contribute.
A group of just a few people still work on finding out what Niantic is doing next. Last time it took us 25 days, full time - for 4 people.
You can imagine that this is an insane amount of time.
We basically had two options.
- Stop it and work on other projects.
- Offer a paid API to let the Community continue to build awesome stuff.
That should give you a brief overview why we had to make it paid.
I have an API Hashing Key - which services can I use with this?
You can't use Pokefarmer or Lazymon2D with an API Hashing subscription. As these two products are both from us they're separated.
All other tools, from external developers that support the API Hashing are usable with an API Hashing subscription.
How do I calculate the RPM I use?
First you have to differentiate between Maps and Bots. Running a single Bot a 150 RPM Subscription is totally fine. Maps on average, do fewer requests. Depending on the Map you can use up to 10-25 Accounts at the same time with a single 150 RPM Subscription.
// MapRequestsPerMinute = 6
// NumberOfAccounts = 1
// MapRequestsPerMinute (6) * NumberOfAccounts (1) = 6 RPM for 1 Account
// MapRequestsPerMinute (6) * NumberOfAccounts(10) = 60 RPM for 10 Accounts
// MapRequestsPerMinute (6) * NumberOfAccounts(25) = 150 RPM for 25 Accounts
1. This are average calculations. It really depends on the service you use and how it uses the Pokemon GO API.
2. Bots are using 10-25 Requests in average per Minute. (which is because of the massive amount of Requests while interacting with Pokemon GO).
However this should you get a brief introduction on how to calculate the RPM package.
